  1. Powerful this one. I think the opposite, an unclear conscience, results in a mind that is constantly putting up obfuscation and confusion, because the mind inherently knows it is free and clear, but doesn’t know how to disbelieve the perceived evidence to the contrary. So… it engages in active distortion. And the effort is discontentment…

      Thanks for sharing what the opposite looks like, it not only makes the aphorism so much clearer, but also illustrates how hard it is to have a muddied conscience – which I’m sure we can all relate to.
